Reflections
The theme of Week 10 is “Recovering a Sense of Self-Protection”.
Two of the tasks in for this chapter guide us towards choosing and setting a strict rule to counteract habits that are interfering with creativity. One possible rule is blocking our a set time each day for uninterrupted creative work.
This sort of boundary is would be helpful for many people, even if it seems difficult or excessively rigid. I think the recommendation comes at a good place in the book: after lots of reflection on creative goals and barriers. After all this introspection, tt may be easier to choose an effective new rule and commit to it.
