Here are some brief thoughts as I conclude my journey through The Artist’s Way:
- I enjoyed getting out for the artist’s dates, especially visiting galleries I hadn’t been to before. I definitely agree that this activity is useful for getting back into a creative mindset.
- I did the morning pages exercise, and my experience has been that it works better for me if I wrote a little more slowly. Taking time to form complete sentences helps me to get beyond the surface thoughts and find more insight.
- My posts in this diary have focused on just one or two tasks per week. While this feels somewhat limited, I think I gained a broader understanding of how the ideas in the book connect together.
- I also have the sequel, Walking in This World, and I would like to work through that book more thoroughly. Perhaps in Autumn 2025?
