“The Artist’s Way” diary: week 8

Artist’s Date

I went to an exhibition called “Respecting Country” by William Walker, at the Belconnen Arts Centre.

Reflections

The theme of Week 8 is “Recovering a Sense of Strength”.

This chapter has a larger task than most of the ones in the book – it’s called a goal search. We’re asked to write down a dream, a concrete goal linked to the dream, and actions that we can take towards achieving the goal. These actions should include ones that we can take soon and one that we can take right now.

This is another example of how to bring creative action into the present moment. Here, the current action also has a place within a big plan.

I wonder if – depending on personality – some people would find it more helpful to create a list of immediate actions for several different goals.
